How to Increase the Internal Storage Space of Your Phone:

A phone's storage space

All kinds of phones have different storage spaces. We are always limited by the small storage spaces of our phones and we end up not having everything we would have desired on our phones.

Perhaps you have found yourself receiving notifications telling you "insufficient storage available" on your phone when trying to install a new app or download any other media on it. This most times leaves phone users confused.

But worry no more, today we bring you can increase your phone storage and improve your user experience.

Let's start from simple to complex;

1. Deleting Unwanted Apps and Clean All the History and Cache

You can just uninstall some apps which you have no interest in. On the other hand, even some apps users keep in their devices will take up more space than they require.

To be specific, as time goes by, every app on users’ phone fills space with cached files. Now, they can clean app cache to release more free space to store more data.

2. Use of USB OTG Storage

It simply means USB On-The-Go. Just know that you can plug in peripherals such as storage drives to add more space for their phone via the OTG cable. This allows USB devices such as tablets or smartphones to act as a host, allowing other USB devices, such as USB flash drives, digital cameras, mice or keyboards, to be attached to them.

Simply connect a flash drive (or SD reader with card) to the full-size USB female end of the adapter, then connect OTG cable to phone. Ensure you enable file transfer and  tap USB Drive.

With this, you will be able to copy files from the phone storage to the flash drive.

3. Use INT2EXT

Here you will need to download the INT2EXT4+ zip file on computer to a specific folder, and remember not to extract it.

Power off phone completely until it vibrates. Enter into recovery mode. In recovery mode, you can use volume keys for navigation and power/home button for selection. You will need to partition the SD card and follow the prompts.

4. Use of Cloud Storage

Cloud storage as you here is infinite storage space for your information but not on your phone. It is in space. Most people use cloud storage to share their pictures, videos and other files to release more free space on Android.

There are many cloud storage apps like Dropbox and SkyDrive allow users to share files from their phone to the cloud and then access them from their computer. And, once files are shared in the cloud, you can free up space by deleting them from their phones.

The only disadvantage of using cloud storage is that you will be able to access those files only when they have an active internet connection.

However, it remains one of the most used and effective methods.

5. Use Terminal Emulator App

Terminal Emulator app can help us to add SD card’s free space to Android.

You will need to partition memory card using MiniTool Partition Wizard software.

Download and install Terminal Emulator App on phone, launch

It then Type"su" and press enter.

Type"a2sd xdata" and press"Enter".

The app will ask you whether to continue with the process or not. Here, type "y" and press"Enter".

The app asks to reboot phone. Again type"y" to restart the phone then you have successfully increased internal storage space on Android.

6. Use of a Memory Card

Well, it turns out, you can perfectly use memory card to increase storage space.

You just have to set it up as part of the internal storage in your phone when you insert it there. This means you will not be able to use it in another device until you format it
